SOCIAL UPLIFTMENT PROGRAMS
Partnership with Space Kidz India, January 3, 2023
Lumina Datamatics has partnered with Space Kidz India to launch a satellite into outer space. In this specific satellite launch, a total of 750 teenage girls were selected across 75 rural schools across India. Moreover, the program utilizes children from impoverished backgrounds, allowing them opportunities that will enable them to explore different skill sets and, perhaps, even target careers in space.
Adoption of Konda Village, July 24, 2022
Marking a new milestone in its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) endeavors, Lumina Datamatics provided essential resources to Konda Village near Mumbai. The company sponsored and distributed rations, medicines, wheelchairs, walkers, manure, umbrellas, and sanitary napkins, among other things, to 50+ underprivileged residents of Konda during the recent CSR drive on 24th July
The employees of Lumina Datamatics voluntarily participated in this event, leaving them satisfied and inspired, knowing that this would bring about some change in society at a local level.
Skill Development Programme with Aaruthal Foundation, April 21, 2022
Lumina Datamatics has initiated with Aaruthal Foundation a skill development programme for 30 underprivileged women. This training helped their skills to be recognised and empowered these young women and their families financially and socially. The program sought to train young women from economically underprivileged families as General Duty Assistants (GDAs) to help support nurses at healthcare institutions and other patients needing primary care. The two-month programme helps these women find sustainable employment.
Donation to Wockhardt Hospitals, January 26, 2022
Lumina Datamatics donated 3,500 PPE kits and 5,000 N95 masks to Wockhardt Hospitals in Mumbai Central. The PPE kits comprised 60 GSM white coverall suits with headcover and shoe cover, which are also DRDO approved, i.e., among the best quality available in the market. The masks, too, are of the MH3D Plus N95 type, offering maximum protection against the virus.
Scholarship Program
Lumina Datamatics is deeply committed to the holistic progress of society and is committed to fulfilling the dreams of students who want to jumpstart their careers via our scholarship program instituted in 2021. We identify students from weaker sections of society and reward them with scholarships based on merit. The colleges taking place in the program are:
- Nehru College in Coimbatore
- KSR Institute of Technology in Tiruchengode
- Rajalakshmi Engineering College in Chennai
- Kongunadu Educational Charitable Trust in Namakkal
- Ramachandra Educational Trust
Fourteen students across these institutions have been awarded scholarships. That number will rise in the coming year as more candidates apply to see their education dreams come true.
